Wasn't former SMU QB Chris Philips becomming a rap star? Peruna is my mascot!
Re: Young JeezyHey I am older and don't like the hip hop sound in general but I think its put together well and has a good beat..very timely and may help in recruiting some as well.
Re: Young Jeezy
Are you kidding? If playing crap music is going to help us recruit we are screwed form the get go! [deleted] Dang Sweet Perunatang!
Re: Young JeezySorry ponyfan08 its what gets us noticed and creates a positive attraction to the young guys ...so be it. It helps connect...we aren't screwed, just accomodating........
Re: Young Jeezy
If music is that big of a motivator than the coaches shold let the players pick the music each week. Just like college baseball players do each time they come up to bat. Somehow it could be incorporated during the game; Change of possession, kick-offs, start & second half. [deleted] Dang Sweet Perunatang!
Re: Young JeezyIt works with the basketball players as well as they love to warm up to that sound and having Jeezy (whoever he is) personalize the football team with that song is probably pretty cool to the players and potential recruits and shows maybe SMU is not so much 'old school'....I try to avoid that music genre, but its hard to get away from
Re: Young JeezySaw the video on the Athletics Department website and I have to confess the song wasn't bad at all in fact it was kind of catchy. The video with all the sweaty guys working out (one with chains) was kind of weird, but the rap tune wasn't bad at all (and I generally hate rap). I note that Margus Hunt is a beast.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: Young JeezyThis post is talking about Peruna....off to Siberia
