I absolutely despise this line of thinking about a game that's won or lost.

For instance, Jones said something like, "Well, we don't give SFA a touchdown if we don't give them 2 5-yard drives. (something like that).

Then somebody else said something like, well if we had gone to McNeal more, we probably would have controlled the game.

Nationally, I hear the pundits..
"Well, if Ron Paulus doesn't throw a pass he'd like to have back against Minnesota in OT, Syracuse wins.''

or

"If Georgia had scored again in the second quarter, the Bulldogs probably beat Oklahoma State.''

I realize this is a pastime for fans to try and excuse away losses or justify wins, but whatever. Those things did happen in the game and you deal with it.

Attempted revisionist history doesn't work because at the end of the day, you either scored more than the other guy or you didn't and you move on.

This kind of talk is such a waste of time. Kind of like lacrosse, a waste of time.

here is one that is true. if navy , who is the top rushing team in the nation, had not tried that stupid pass and ran it they would have gone into OT with ohio state!

General - why the shot at Lacrosse ? - just about the best game going after football?? I mean - slam bowling or whatever they call that stupid yankee game where they slide the anvil down the ice and then sweep like mad.... those are total wastes....but Lacrosse is the best - or close to it.
