Someone told me the fake punt was not called by June Jones and
the punter did it on his own....can anyone verify if that is true?

Haven't heard that, but I doubt Szymanski, in his first game for SMU, would do that on his own. Maybe he has Jones' green light to go anytime if he sees something.

I dont know but Ive never seen a fake punt in which the punter is the one running the ball, considering how far he starts behind the line of scrimage. Usually if youre going to run on a fake punt you hike it to the up back, and if the punter gets it on a fake he will throw.

Except that 40 yd run morestead had last year

Can you spell 1-11 again. I hear that the players believe that Braden Smith is a better QB than Mitchell. At least JJ is not so bull headed that he won't use a good running back when he has one.

JJ Mcdermott is not eligible. # 47 is DE taylor thompson. He actually weighs more than all of our NT's. Lots of hype around him but i was not impressed. Like the post.

mcneal came up huge when we needed him, i was suprised our o-line couldn't make a few bigger holes for him, especially against a team lined up against the pass every play

that fg was amazing everyone around me was wtf is going on when he went running out....then man that was awesome, i can't believe they didn't even debate going for it with only 4 yards for a 1st

heard calls for padron to come in since he ran a similar system in hs

They were yelling for JWill in section 107. Or maybe that was JWill.

no, but you go on believing that there was only one person sitting there on saturday night thinking Willis would do far better than that regardless of whether he was sicked, injured, hadn't played qb for two years, or doesn't fit "the system".

This is beyond stupid. This is his second year, offense is not so complex really. Formation wise it's probably the simplest in college football. And several of the routes are reads based on defensive alignment.

We ran 72 plays. He ran 50 yards (25 out, 25 back) to get every play, except the first one of the series of course. So throw out 17 plays since we had 17 offensive series. That's still 55 * 50 = 2750 yards. That's 1.5 miles of jogging over the course of a game for a sick QB. Not to mention 2 delay of game penalties.

Yet I suppose you can argue BLM was better in the fourth quarter than he was in the first. Perhaps it's a pet peeve of mine. Kind of like the offenses (eh hem, Texas Tech) that line up, then everyone stands up to look at the sideline for a signal, then go ahead with the play. I hate that even more.

I wonder how big a role, if any, swine flu played in the game and how big a role it will play in the rest of the season?
