Next year will really be interesting to see to competition between BLM and JJ McDermott.

He will be fine and by the end of the season, you haters will all but have forgotten about the second tier folks. Especially the transfer. He has worked his butt off and deserves to be where he is. He has all the tools necessary to run the offense, including the smarts and it will show as the season progresses. He also has the mental toughness to do the job and not dwell on the negative. In my opinion, he is a major asset to this program. I can assure you regardless of what happens, he will not quit! Bo represents the school very well and is excited to be there. You will not be reading any negative press about him off the field. From where I sit, he is as solid and mature of college kid there is.

I hope you are right. But one thing as a reminder that you probably already know, with the QB position comes the most praise when things are going well and the most criticism when things are not going well. It is part of the territory (especially on the D1A level). Get used to it either way. Glad he has a thick skin.

I hear you. However, it does get frustrating on the personal attacks from some. Just because he does not come from money, some believe he does not belong at SMU. I believe that by getting there through hard work means much more...

Yes, it will! Have you ever seen JJ play, or do you just like the idea he has size?

I have never heard anyone say anything about not being from money. Heck most of the team is probably not from money. Bottom line if we win or lose and Bo has a half way decent game everything is fine. If we win or lose and he does not have a half way decent game expect the criticism. As Coach Dan Hawkins said, "This is Division 1 football, this ain't intermurals."

I do wish him well.

He has very good size and the fact that June said that he has the potential to be an NFL QB - I don't believe that he said that when he announced his recruiting class back in 2008.

We need competition at every position. Unfortunately, from what I keep reading we don't seem to have that at the QB position.
Quotes regarding the 2010 class:

"the class we have coming in is the best in a long long" June Jones

"All in all I have no problem in someone calling this the best class since the DP" Stallion
