This reminds me of the "Wolf" and "Anti-Wolf" days of the college football newsgroups back before message boards....anyone else remember that? Was great fun!

Everyone knew to respect the danger of the wolf and be cautious of the anti-wolf.

Wolfing was talking your team up and assuming victory which inevitably would raise the ire of the football gods and you would lose. Anti Wolfing was an attempt to trash your own team or falsely talk up your opponent's team, hence jinxing your opponent.

Good anti wolf here: "We should have lost to an FCS school, the only reason we beat UAB was because they couldn't execute an extra point try, our defense has not been able to stop anyone this year, we have just been lucky that QBs seem to like to make poor throws right to our DBs....I don't see anyway we can expect to stay close to Washington State, a BCS school that should be able to put us properly back in our designated place on the totem pole, at the very bottom."

I DO BELIEVE ALMOST EVERYONE PREDICTED WE"D LOOSE TO UAB ON THE PREDICTION THREAD...

our defense gives up a lot of yards, but they also play an "allout" type of defense where we put a lot of pressure on our DB's to make plays (which they have done so far)... if we score every time we have the ball, and we get one turnover, we win. Hawaii never had the best defense in the country... PB coached some of the top defenses in the country but his strategy did not work at SMU. Everyone needs to recognize that CUSA is a HIGH SCORING conference, and because of this I am more concerned with BLM/WR's performance than I am the defense. Tulsa gave up 70 to Houston last year and still played in the CUSA championship and went to a bowl game...

I am in the process of talking to Orsini about potentially renting buses to get students to the game and back, as well as securing a ton of student/just SMU fan tickets. ThisTCU game could be the first Iron Skillet match up in a WHILE that really has big time ramifications for both sides.
