WSU Frosh QB Jeff Tuel - HighlightsIf they are pulling his redshirt, I guarantee we see him at some point Saturday. Wouldn't be surprised if they throw him in right away, especially with USC and Oregon up next...

Re: WSU Frosh QB Jeff Tuel - HighlightsOur D will hammer and drill Tuel back to his shed.

stop it - not funny
Re: WSU Frosh QB Jeff Tuel - HighlightsJust talked to a reporter up there who fully expects Tuel to get some snaps Saturday against SMU.

I've got to get to 3,000 with something.
Re: WSU Frosh QB Jeff Tuel - Highlights
that was my favorite so far
Re: WSU Frosh QB Jeff Tuel - HighlightsIf Tuel nails his throws with receivers running smooth routers, then we're screwed.
Re: WSU Frosh QB Jeff Tuel - HighlightsI like the youtube of him. He's big, seems pretty tough, has composure, and can look off receivers, check down, throw a mean deep ball and thread the needle. He likes QB-option-trap & option-off-tackle. He also does his imitation of Tim Tebow's run, stop, jump, and pass. Nice touch. They have a good player, IMHO, freshman or no.
I watched some of the excerpts from the Hawaii/WSU game, and Wash State showed a couple of highlight runs for Lopina in the option-trap/off-tackle variety. I'll go on a short limb and say that SMU will see the same play, except it'll be Tuel back there. I do question, based on the Hawaii game, whether WSU has the receivers to truly leverage Tuel's deep ball, but he also has the arm to make some receivers look good if they get behind SMU's corners. In my humble opinion, SMU's D needs to do more than put pressure on Tuel (or whomever). SMU's D needs to hit him early, often, and really, really hard. SMU's D needs to make WSU's QB feel bare-assed and chilly in the Whitman county hoosegow every single down. Tuel's freshman "Id" needs to take over; he needs to think that he will be manhandled and bruised each and every time he says "hut". Every time he looks over at Taylor or Pete or Youri (hope so) or Marquis or Chris or Margus or whoever, he needs to feel an urge to wet his pants and cough up the ball. In short, they need to make him the unhappiest freshman to start a football game this year. "Moderation in all things, and especially in Absoluts [vodka]." The Benediction, Doc Breeden, circa 1992
Re: WSU Frosh QB Jeff Tuel - HighlightsI am sure we'll see Tuel at some point. I know he is a highly regarded recruit, but I think he may have a big case of the "Big Eyes", SMU or not. I just want Saturday to get here already.
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.
Potential is nothing, performance is everything.
Re: WSU Frosh QB Jeff Tuel - HighlightsFirst, he is listed at 6'2". If he is 6'2", then that running back must be a dwarf or they grow 'em small in California. The film makes him look 6'6". It sounds like this guy is similar to Padron in that he spent most of his HS career playing behind a star QB (Beau Sweeney that is now at Cal). He didn't start until his senior year, so he didn't get that much attention. Looks like he committed before he ever started a game.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Re: WSU Frosh QB Jeff Tuel - HighlightsI think I miter saw Tuel belt out a tape measure throw at practice today, with the WR climbing the ladder to rake it in.
Re: WSU Frosh QB Jeff Tuel - HighlightsSmooBoy. I am impressed!
Re: WSU Frosh QB Jeff Tuel - HighlightsThat makes one of you.
Re: WSU Frosh QB Jeff Tuel - HighlightsA lot is being made about Southern California's Matt Barkley and Michigan's Tate Forcier starting as true freshman and having success. I am sure some at WSU are thinking that can work for Tuel. However, I just looked and both Barkley and Forcier enrolled early and participated in Spring football. Tuel, as far as I know, did not. Further, WSU ain't Michigan (even though it is down) or USC. Then again, SMU isn't Ohio State or Notre Dame.
