Guys, don't feed the trolls. Especially ones that spout such jibberish.

Yes, all this talk of him quitting is ridiculous. These guys are under a lot of pressure so cut the
guy some slack. Half the negative comments on here are anonymously posted by people who love to
sit in judgment and probably have trouble looking in the mirror themselves.

Why not the CFL? or the arena league? In the CFL the guy could make several hundred thousand a year. Not a bad payday for a few years before entering the business world with an SMU degree. Not a bad place to be at all.

Good luck to Justin and his family.

Glad to hear he will be graduating in December. That is an accomplishment and his future. Justin seemed like a nice young man and he has been through a lot, but I have serious doubts whether he ever plays football again. Justin could not even earn a starting position on a team that went 1-11 last year. I certainly did not hear of any other D1 schools anxious to see him transfer. I think his football career is over unless he could possibly try to make some arena league team.

SMU would have won more than 1 game last year if he had played.

Ignorant post.

Supposedly quarterbacks make around 300k a year Canadian (currently there is parity in the xchange rates). They are the highest paid position on any given team from the limited reading I did. If you are a kicker you may make 45k a year.

Willis is talented. If he could earn a starting position at any franchise then his second or third season he would be making quite a bit.

At least more than your average SMU grad who does not have daddy's connections/firm to provide them with that overpaid entry level job :D

He is not he's' a wide out. June said so. I think 3rd string. no wait he quit. Yea gona get drafted as an American to the CFL no chance. Look up pay scale for a walk QB in the cfl. And you have to be invited. If you’re a first round draft choice Center or QB you get the same with a good agent. (click)

and guess what....the dont exist anymore

it should be noted that those CFL'ers are being paid in a certain canadian currency...so they are in reality making about the average income for an american in our dollars

There is now currency parity with canada (No, I have not checked lately)

85k Canadian is about equal to 85k american.

Canadian dollar is about 93 USD right now.
CFL Players can make decent cash. The cap is around 4 million and at 40 roster spots on a team... you do the math.
Lawrence Phillips played here and Pacman got a contract, so I'm sure we don't care that he quit the team.
