He likes QB-option-trap & option-off-tackle. He also does his imitation of Tim Tebow's run, stop, jump, and pass. Nice touch. They have a good player, IMHO, freshman or no.

I watched some of the excerpts from the Hawaii/WSU game, and Wash State showed a couple of highlight runs for Lopina in the option-trap/off-tackle variety. I'll go on a short limb and say that SMU will see the same play, except it'll be Tuel back there. I do question, based on the Hawaii game, whether WSU has the receivers to truly leverage Tuel's deep ball, but he also has the arm to make some receivers look good if they get behind SMU's corners.

In my humble opinion, SMU's D needs to do more than put pressure on Tuel (or whomever). SMU's D needs to hit him early, often, and really, really hard. SMU's D needs to make WSU's QB feel bare-assed and chilly in the Whitman county hoosegow every single down. Tuel's freshman "Id" needs to take over; he needs to think that he will be manhandled and bruised each and every time he says "hut". Every time he looks over at Taylor or Pete or Youri (hope so) or Marquis or Chris or Margus or whoever, he needs to feel an urge to wet his pants and cough up the ball. In short, they need to make him the unhappiest freshman to start a football game this year.

pressure from the front 7 will tend to make any QB look bad...and our secondary look good. Keep it up, guys. Having watched the 1st 2 games on screaming video, that's the biggest difference I see between this year and last...we are actually putting some pressure on the opposing QBs
