Fresno's QB has 10 yards passing at halftime and is getting booed unmercifully by home crowd-so Fresno is lucky to be in this game but intensity has picked up significantly. Could be a decent 2nd Half.

The SMU athletic department needs to seriously consider "branding" the team with the city of Dallas by placing a large "D" somewhere on the back of the football helmets, similar to how Fresno has placed their "V" which I believe signifies the valley (region) they are located in California.

Actually I think the V is just to make them look slimmer.

From Wiki answers:

What is the meaning of the 'V' on the back of the Fresno State helmets?
In: College Football

This representation of the San Joaquin Valley is displayed in the form of a green "V" on the back of the Bulldogs' helmets. The green in the "V" is a symbol to the agricultural community of the Central Valley, which is the world's richest agricultural area in export dollars.

When Pat Hill became Fresno State's head coach prior to the 1997 season, he wanted to reinvigorate San Joaquin Valley pride in the Bulldogs. Because Fresno State is the only Division I football program in the Valley, a 250-mile stretch in California's midsection from Bakersfield to Modesto, Hill wanted to make the Bulldogs the "Green Bay Packers of college football." As Coach Hill often states, Fresno State is not only representing Fresno, its representing the entire Valley.

This representation of the San Joaquin Valley is displayed in the form of a green "V" on the back of the Bulldogs' helmets. The green in the "V" is a symbol to the agricultural community of the Central Valley, which is the world's richest agricultural area in export dollars.

"The people of this Valley are of vital importance to the success of this football program," said Hill. "They help us fund the program, they give us unparalleled support, and they are going to be the big reason we take this program to a level where we are consistently in the Top 25."

Hill has also shown his commitment to the Valley in recruiting -- 45 of the Bulldogs' 104 players (43 percent) are from the San Joaquin Valley.

Valley. Fresno is in the California valley.

Fresno is not strong on kick coverage. Boise has a kickoff return for a 76 yard TD. Boise just had a 100 yard Kickoff return for TD called back. They kick again and the other returner goes 80 yards. No wonder they are booing.

How are you feeling? Like Fresno was playing in the 1st Quarter, like Fresno was playing to end the first half, or somewhere in between?

Boise scores on long touchdown. I bet there are 6 plays over 60 yards in this game- you can't say there aren't some exciting plays in the WAC.
