I hate that BLM used the verb "steal" as in "If we can steal two on the road." Come on, BLM, you are the quarterback. Take leadership of this team. Using the word "steal" instead of "win" suggests that we shouldn't be winning the road games. This team needs to think "we should win, we will win" and then go out there and win.

I think he just did not want to come across as overconfident.

This team could just as easily be 0-2. They need to play mistake free football to win today. I think they can do it.

we have today's game and a road game at Marshall that I view as possible wins. We probably need to win at least 2 road games to have any chance at playing in a bowl

forget "all grit, no quit"

our new 2009 motto should be "cautiously optimistc about SMU football"

"If we can steal two on the road, it blows our season wide open."

Like I said, the choice of words was not indicative of a QB who has what it takes to lead his team to the top.

it will be interesting to see if Smith gets some snaps against TCU...assuming that game will be a blowout loss. We are probably looking at 5 consecutive losses leading up to the Rice game and an opportunity to finish strong. Will be interesting to see how Jones plays these next 5 games. I don't see him burning Padron's RS unless injuries force him to, so it's really down to Bo Levi or Braden.

sure isn't looking like Bo Levi is going to be a 4 year starter, but I don't think the answer to our QB issue has arrived on campus yet

I will remain cautiously optimistic we might "steal" one of these next 5 games and put this team back in the hunt for a bowl game

We wouldn't have to "steal" a game if we had a QB who could "win"
