Is this program going to waste another season while this guy throws a record number of picks? just because JJ is stubborn? From all indications I think so. If he is stubborn enough to stick with his "guy" out of some twisted sense of loyalty then failure is on his shoulders.

the coach's kid from Rockwall has forgotten more football than you will ever know. SMU needs a leader at QB. We have tried the "athlete" (Willis) and we have tried the "gunslinger". Now how about someone who has the ability to raise the level of play of those around and who is deadly accurate when he chunks the rock.

No way we see another QB. JJ is gonna ride this one out. Things might get a little more interesting in spring ball depending on how much padron starts to grasp of the offense.

Knowing that JJ will not change qbs for the next few years would seem to kill us in recruiting qbs for the future. Would you want to come to SMU next year knowing that you would have no chance of playing for 2 more years??
