BLM versus TCUI really think the TCU game is going to be a put up or shut up week for Mitchell. If he continues this trend of erratic decisions then it is time to give someone else a look. And to have someone back there who can scramble if needed would be a big plus and not lock onto receivers as well. If that person is Smith then let's find out.
Re: BLM versus TCULet's be real here. TCU is going to beat us like the rabid dog stealing food out of the garbage pile in the back alley.
I'm starting to think Bo Levi is NOT the answer. I'm hope Kaiser does come to the hilltop so he can start ASAP. SMU Grad 1996 - Worked in SMU athletic recruiting office under Forrest Gregg and Bill Weidner from 1992-1997.
Re: BLM versus TCUBarring an injury, we're stuck with BLM. There are no other real alternatives. And certainly none that JJ will consider. If he could just put four decent quarters together...

Re: BLM versus TCU
It doesn't even take JJ to tell me that BLM is the best option/our only option this year. If you got a chance to go to any practices in the preseason, BLM is light years ahead of our other QBs. ![]() Eric Dickerson in Pony Excess "I've love winning man, it's like better than losing." - Ebby Calvin "Nuke" LaLoosh
Re: BLM versus TCUWell that certainly doesn't make the 2 back ups sound very good[especially Smith who played a similar offense in high school] or could it also mean BLM isn't as good in games as he is in practices?
Re: BLM versus TCUMy guess is we score a TD early on a BLM pass against TCU. Then late in the 1st BLM throws his 1st int and it goes downhill form there. After his 4th int JJ can see he is rattled and just like last year when we subbed in Turner, JJ will sub in Smith. Smith then constructs a long drive for a TD and actually looks pretty good. Of course at this point TCU is up by 35 and has a lot of 2nd string in.
Re: BLM versus TCU
Based on what almost everyone who has watched practice has said it isn't a matter of BM looking great in practice, it is a matter of everyone else looking far worse. "I think Couchem is right."

Re: BLM versus TCU
Then the problems fall on JJ's shoulders for not recruiting some decent qb's his first year here or at least getting another one this year that was capable of starting. ![]() GO PONIES!!!
