Rivals says QB change??

Postby OC Mustang » Mon Sep 21, 2009 4:45 pm

..or is this one of Armen's rather clever ways to get people to want to read the premium site? Is there a QB shuffle, even in the depth chart???

Probably yes to all of the above. :)

given that they JUST said that Mitchell was safe as the starter, you have to imagine it's a change in the pecking order after that. If that's the case, you have to feel bad for Braden Smith. And if Padron's the backup, I really hope that Mitchell can stay healthy all year. It'd be nice to keep that redshirt.

If that's what it is — a ploy to lure readers into the premium — then he should be embarrassed. Then again, unless it's reported on the school site, by the DMN or by our own (and the original) PonyPride, I don't consider it official, anyway.
Bo remains the #1 QB.

In this offense you almost need a redshirt year to get a decent grasp. But I heard Kyle was really intelligent (if they decide not to).

Yes, he's supposed to be very intelligent, and I hear the coaches are very pleased with his progress, but I would hope we never have to see a true freshman kicked in there again — we have the chance to redshirt him, and Kaiser next year, and have to take advantage of that.

Bo will play all year, and all of this hate directed toward him can have no effect other than negative. He is the QB this year, and we shouldn't be tearing him down — we should be rallying around him.

I was at the luncheon today and I will say that might not be the case regarding the redshirt. We will see though.

Interesting. If that's the case (Padron playing), I'll support him all the way. But I sure hope he gets to redshirt.
