Haha...high school named after a town that no longer exists that was named after some farmer named Calvin Allen. The post office back then changed the town's name from "Cal Allen" to "Calallen" so it's all run together. I remember hearing the school being referred to on CNN as "Callahan High School" (when they did a short biography of the aforementioned Mr. DeLay)
Tomball - a suburb of Houston - has a similar origin in its naming.

That makes two of us sick of me talking about being sick. Because I'm the one who is sick! I think I have finally vanquished the h1n1, or at least it's on the ropes. I think I can actually go back in to the studio tomorrow and get back to work on the documentary.

So if and when you decide to go back to the studio and actually work perhaps you can post a pic of our "SONY" in Austin! You do realize that I don't have a clue as to its actual appearance! BTW I'm sitting on the deck overlooking the harbour, a balmy 79 Degrees, Pony and Trojan Flags calmy moving in the breeze, drinking an Absolut to your healh! GET WELL!

Until I wake up out of my stupor, and then I'm still in cubicle Hades, while you sit in Shangrila.

Deal, pic of your glorious Sony monitor will be posted tomorrow. Thank you for drinking to my health. Speaking for both my health and me in general, I/we appreciate it. Can't wait to crash your pad again this year. This time I'll actually show up with cash. Speaking of, can I borrow some money?

Only if you bring some PurplDrank. On second thought it's still Waco.

The pony flag in question.... and yes that is HBPD's "backyard".

I must note that while I may crash HBPD's pad again this year WITH cash that won't stop me from drinking him out of house and home. Anybody with a bar the size of my apartment (probably bigger) in their house that overlooks a harbor AND invites a starving artist to stay an extra week deserves to have themselves drained of Jameson's and premium scotch. BTW - HBPD's bar, and well entire upstairs area and most of the downstairs, looks like a the scene of a coke party circa 1979-1985. I mean, really, you walk in there and you feel like your on the set of Dallas, Falcon Crest, or Knott's Landing. Where's my blazer with the sleeves rolled up? And can I get a big-haired stripper in here so I can do some blow off her belly? I mean the bar is a bar, not just a nook that you call a bar. It's a room, a big room, and if you include the pool table area that is sort of on a slightly (two-to-three step) different level it's even bigger. The pool table room comes complete with 1979 era top of the line stereo system. It's beautiful. The bar has an actual bar with built in chairs and a built in (ancient) TV (with a terrible picture quality), a couch and table with chairs, etc. Oh, and did I mention it overlooks a harbor. Seriously, where was the big-haired Playboy model???? .... I joke about HBPD and his pad, but one thing I don't think I've said is that that trip changed, and in many ways, saved my life. It's a long story, and a good story, but I owe it to HBPD to tell it to him first. Oh, and BTW - we spent our "down time" going out and racing 100K sports cars.
