I would also contact his track and field coach here at SMU. Maybe some of you have his name and email address that he can use? His coach watches his prize track and field athlete very closely and is also very interested in his "new" football career.

the big estonian has the tools but he is a long way from being a player. hopefully by his junior year he will be a decent player and by his senior year a good player.

June showed that clip of Hunt at the lunch week before last.
Pointed out the the push back and his youth at not knowing what to do. Ran it back a few times. June said he's going to get much better

I predict Marges Hunt will be a star at SMU. Hunt's push on the line resulted in the blocked extra point against UAB. He has only played in a few live plays in his whole life and has already showed skills that cannot be taught. I expect him to continue to contribute and by the end of the year really make impact plays in the games.

Let's hope so- we could use the extra pressure. I hope he is studying a lot of film and is a fast learner. :D

well, we have a top Estonian hammer thrower on the team, who probably would be Div I material. But we kind of need him ourselves:) In general discus is quite a big thing around here, so there are more big guys with quick feet and explosivess to be found.
anyway, thanks for he info guys and if you could post more after seeing Margus in action in coming weeks, we'd appreciate it... and btw, you suddenly have quite a lot of ponyfans across the sea!

I wish someone like a Joe Avezzano or other retired pro coach could tutor this guy. He is very raw but could be a monster.

I wonder if any of the old Cowboys like Lily, Jordan or Howley would be interested in working with him? I know Leroy Jordan and Chuck Howley used to live in Dallas. Do not know if they still do or not.

Mr. Jordan still lives in the area. I'll ask him next time I see him.

NCAA rules prohibit consultant coaches-at least you can't pay them. Was it OU or USC that just got in trouble for this?

I thought I had heard just the opposite. That USC was paying consultants and getting away with it.

And they pay players too and get away with it.

Toomas, Glad to hear we have added some more fans - we need more whether it is here or on the other side of the world. When is the football season in Estonia and who do you play? Good luck with your season whenever it is and welcome to the board.

USC didn't get away with anything...

Alabama State was punished for the alleged violations!

I know I am rarely serious but I was being so in this instance. I thought I heard the announcers in a USC game last year talking about how Carroll was using consultants and apparently had found a loop hole because it was obvious, yet apparently no one was questioning the use. All jokes aside, I was under the impression that it was ok.
