Re: 25 Years and 5 CoachesLet's review the bidding shall we. 25 years 5 coaches, why did they fail.
1. Gregg. Pye restricted contacts to recruits until they had been approved by admissions. This continued for three coaches. This hamstrung recruiting and hurt the ability to get best available players. No waivers for nobody. 2. Rosseley. Same restrictions. 3. Cavan. Same restrictions, never coached at Division 1 level, but considered at 1-AA genius. 4 Bennett. Restrictions relaxed during his tenure, but never was a head coach before and by the time he got to know what he was doing his won/loss record doomed him and his ability to recruit. There was a Bennett death watch for at least three years before he was gone. Not good for recruiting. 5. Jones. Name coach, restrictions relaxed further on recruiting. Late start on recruiting first year. Seems to be hauling in decent players despite last year's record. Success everywhere he has coached. That is why I have hope, but no expectations. UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Re: 25 Years and 5 Coaches
I agree too. My only concern is that we had a "W" well within our reach last week yet we gave it away.
