How bout have June worry about how to win Football games instead of how to fill the stands, if someone thinks that [deleted] off longtime SMU supporters that have stuck with the Ponies through thick and thin by getting a big horse because the net/net will be more butts in the seats..then I have a word to describe that marketing person..and "guru" isn't it.

KK had nothing to do with the horse deal...it was selling season tics and selling tics to corporations etc....and filling the stadium in a tough market and in a big city....too many options.....Pitt and Miami had the same problems ( in major markets) for years until the grass roots and winning programs took over

az1 mentioned he was at news conference-really a guy who just "discovered" ponyfans 25 days ago is all of sudden one of the biggest proponent of New Traditions and going to news conferences. And now he's all over the board with his prime focus on Phony Pony

Bagice, while I agree with ponyscott's assessment that your "let's boycott the TCU game" thread was [deleted], I must say you are dead on here. What we are experiencing is basically a Slap in the Face to the Fifteen Hundred. The non-fair-weather fans who have stuck with this train wreck for 20+ years of crap, and actually care about COLLEGE FOOTBALL TRADITION, are all pretty much being told to go shove it sideways, when they should be treated exactly the opposite. This is the reward. Mrs. Pickens cause is worthy, I'm all for that, but the disrespect towards Peruna is staggering. JJ even said in his speech that he only looked up stuff about Peruna the other day. Beat the frogs

Sorry about the Boycott TCU thread, but I have had it with June and this is the final nail for me. I am sure any hard core SMU fan would recognize me, I am the guy in the stands on a Sunday night when the Cowboys are playing to watch SMU play Alabama State, I am the guy who took his only 2 days of vacation from my new job and used up my limited money to travel to the Rose Bowl to watch SMU play UCLA, I am the guy that drove up to Witchita, Ks. To watch SMU open the basketball season against Witchita St...I seldom miss SMU events and have faitfully donated to the Mustang Club and held season tickets...
I have supported SMU no matter what for the last 20 years...but I feel things are turning the wrong way here and I am voicing my displeasure the only way I can..with my wallet....Like I said...this will be the first time in 20 years that I have missed a game in Ft. Worth...I will be at 1st and 10 with my SMU-TCU tickets sitting on the table watching the PONIES play on TV...

great you supported smu for years and now you're a quitter because you don't like the well respected coach they hired...."has been"? yeah sure he just took his team to the Sugar Bowl when we hired him.....you would not attend a game and support our players because some doofus in the athletic dept decides it's a good idea to add a second live horse on the field? hope you enjoy crawling back to Ford in a couple of years when June has his players in place until then the current players that need us really appreciate you sitting over at the 1st & Ten while they play their guts out just down the road.

You do things your way, and I will do things my way...I hope you are right about June, but until it happens, its all just talk.

Bagice it wasn't good enough that we went out and hired the NCAA D-1 Football coach of the year? That isn't good enough?....it's not good enough when Hall Of Famer Eric D, who has been shut out for years, endorses and champions the JJ cause and is finally back on board with SMU? ...Given the Run and Shoot is a 80's Mouse Davis deal, but this one is a variation of that original form and can adapt to the talent that they get and you don't think these guys know what they are doing from all the many years in the NFL?.....geez what else can Orsini do......NO one thought that we could go out and get the D-1 Coach of the year to little old SMU........damn give the guys some time...I have also have been here for years with crapppy teams and coaches and no D-1 talent recruits and lived through it as well.....these coaches are tried and proven with a success record, not wanna be's.....these KIDS deserve our support even if you don't like the coaches.....or the AD
