No Peruna?

just got home-anybody notice that Peruna didn't make the trip? Too controversial?

I would imagine the rainy conditions may have had something to do with it. When you have a soft, soggy field, the last thing you want is shod hooves cutting up the turf.

Peruna has not made a road game in at least 10 years. He did go to the Alamodome when we were the "home team" against a&m.

There have been several reasons given for not taking one of the top ten mascots.

Most opposing teams will not allow the other teams' mascot in the stadium. TCU specifically told SMU that Peruna would not be allowed.

Also in the late 90's Peruna's trailer was not safe enough to take on a long haul.

I'm sure Mrs. Pickens will secure the necessary waivers to tote "Gluestick" wherever she wants "it" to go. I imagine something "mysterious" will happen to Peruna and there will be a final engraving in the South end zone.

I guess if an opposing mascot took a big steaming dump on my 50 I wouldn't let him back either
