Tulsa 24
UTEP 21
UAB 17
Southern Miss 21
Marshall 16
UCF 10
Memphis 10

See the key-almost all those teams were held considerably below their Offensive averages. Damn you can win a bunch of games in this conference with that kind of defense. I've seen them play most of 3 games so far this season and they have outstanding athletes on Defense for CUSA

I was considering driving up for the game. But now that I read that I decided to just go fishing this weekend.

EC can be run on... Marshall's rb went 28 for 141 and two td. Now if McNeil can gain 150 yds on the 3 or 4 carries he will be given we might be alright.

not scientific but because I doubt many SMU fans realize how good that "Marshall RB" is-Darius Marshall right now is the run-away winner of a poll as the Best RB in CUSA. So he deserves some respect.

One ECU fan said on another thread on that site that the only way their offense will score more than 21 points is if they play a junior high team.

I like our chances of scoring more than 21 on ECU. If you look at those stats that Stallion posted, the only spread offenses are So Miss and Tulsa. Other spread offenses that have played them recently: App State (minus their star QB) scored 24 and WVU scored 35 despite shooting themselves in the foot with turnovers and penalties. Houston scored 41 on ECU last year.

I believe I posted a while back that he ran for 117 off 17 carries against Virgina Tech. Tech handed Marshall their head on a platter but did not stop Darius Marshall who is currently number 2 in D1 in rushing.

ECU is big and they are physical and their 2 deep is loaded with JRs and SRs - especially on the OL & DL. Not a good matchup for us. Hope for good weather and a fast track. This will be a clash of styles. We are going to have to break a lot of big plays to win this one. Our lack of depth will really show if we can't at least equal their time of possession.

Oh...and they have that 12th year QB
