Re: Is "Varsity" getting old?Let's add a new alma mater to compliment Varsity. It is too quiet and puny.
Don't complain about changing it. It is associated with losing to those 30 and younger. We should embrace new traditions. Anyway, nobody said we are getting rid of Varsity totally. "I think Couchem is right."

Re: Is "Varsity" getting old?Let's keep Varsity but let's do it as rap.

Re: Is "Varsity" getting old?It is a sign of our losing for the past 20 years =) . We should get a longer Version to replace the current one.
Re: Is "Varsity" getting old?Should we get rid of June Jones, after all he is associated with a 3-13 record at SMU!!!! I don't think the pre-teens remember his successful years at Hawaii!! Plus today's youngsters have no idea he ever coached in the NFL!!!!

Re: Is "Varsity" getting old?
"Oh, we see the Var----" "SMU Fans, I'm happy for you, and I'm gonna let you finish, but 'The Eyes of Texas' is the greatest school song of all time!" (SMU fans turn and look at Kanye with hatred in their eyes)
Re: Is "Varsity" getting old?If you want a Texas-related song, you can go for 'The Yellow Rose of Texas.' Some of the coeds might relate to it. Or how about 'Deep in the Heart of Texas'? There'd be crowd participation for that one.

Re: Is "Varsity" getting old?Maybe we should change the title to "Junior Varsity" since we're such a bush league operation.
