Are we still playing ECU..

Postby Duke Blue Blood » Tue Oct 06, 2009 9:23 pm

or are we complaining about change? I happen to like it when someone tries to fix something that is BROKEN. This has become the WORST SPORTS BOARD. A little off topic every once in a while is okay, but man!

So, in order to try to change the same 20 people [deleted] about the same stupid thing, here is what I have seen thus far in the two games I have seen ECU play.

QB Play - This is not the same Pinkney we saw two years ago. He has almost as many picks this year as he did his entire 1st year. Don't worry about him scrambling, he does not have net positive yards.

RB Play - They use two guys primarily in Lindsay and Jackson, but Lindsay just returned last game after not playing in two. Only Lindsay has one game over 100 yards (vs. App State)

Receiving - They seem pretty week, with NO dominant WR. Harris had one game with more than 100 yards.

O-Line - They have a pretty big line, so our boys are going to have to work hard to apply pressure.

21-10 - You are right. Did not want to put too much out there. Started with the O, will move to the D once everyone stops talking about how sad they are Peruna has a new friend on the field. Worthless!

I think it's a little unfair to classify this as going too terribly off topic because there is concern that a mascot the school has used for over seventy years will be phased out. That doesn't exactly happen every other day. It's not like everyone is yammering over whether to change the school's colors, which practically does happen every other day. So no, it isn't worthless, sorry.

DBB, thought about you in Ft Worth on Saturday. As my son and I sat next to the tunnel, out came Coach Doh and for a moment I forgot he was OUR bball coach. Almost taught my son to do this:

anyway...Anyone have the lowdown on how many sacks ECU has? How is their secondary?

If we were 4-0 less people would care. From what I read, both will be on the field. Either way, I don't care.

They could call us the SMU Goldfish if we won 8-9 games a year.

Get back on topic. We have a GAME on Saturday.

We'd have rather. I alway buy two extra seats (i.e. 4 when I need two) so we have elbow room. Still didnt have elbow room this time, which was a good sign w/ all the student attendance. Next time we'll come over there near yall.

RGV - Saw him at the game and I said hello. As everyone on here can attest, he IS a really nice guy. I still want him to succeed here, despite his ties to Carolina.

Speaking of success, anyone else notice we are playing a team from North Carolina.

D is available for review on Part II.

Any ECU fans on here that want to give us a non-statistical view of the Pirates?

I think ECU forfeited because they saw how big the new mascots were. I guess June was right.
The donkey's name is Kiki.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

I watched them play UNC a few weeks ago.
They're not unbeatable, but we're going to have to play well Saturday.

If Cy Barcus the old band master had not wanted to get the dirty, flea bitten little runt out of his back yard SMU would not have been stuck with the little runt to begin with. Please continue with you ECU observations.
