We Still Play ECU - Part II

Postby Duke Blue Blood » Tue Oct 06, 2009 9:58 pm

So we have covered some basics on the Offense in my other post, but ECU is known for their D. They however, have not really faced a pass happy team like ours.

Here are some interesting info on the D (BTW - How did we look up stats before the internet?)

Interceptions (Bo, you reading this?)- 8 thus far, but 4 came against UCF.

Passing Yards - They gave up almost 300 Yards in the air against WVU, UNC and UCF. That should be good for us.

Rushing Yards - These guys are pretty darn good. Average against is 3.7. Most yards was against Marshall, but they carried the ball 38 times for 179 yards.

Turnovers - They forced 13, so 5 must have been fumbles given interceptions. Once again, UCF was 5 of those.

Total Yards Allowed - 332 on average, so nothing incredible. 336 and 306 Vs C-USA

306 in CUSA and 332 in all games in CUSA is incredible-they are the only defensive team in CUSA.

They play in C-USA East, so a little less score happy.

They gave up 500+ against WVU.

Yes, I know WVU is better than UCF and Marshall.
