Much to the surprise of all involved, Oscar will be coordinating the halftime activities.

Could we request a little strafing of the southern end zone for old times sake?

wouldnt it be ironic to be gazing at our new mustang - Wildfire/Gluestick, while listening to that tired old song live.....while watching an actual wildfire in the endzone?

Cue the fireworks!!!

Here is a preview (dear God, help us)
http://www.michaelmartinmurpheymusic.com/cms/index.php?page=wildfire-song-videos
That is really going to get the team, the under 30 alums and the students really pumped up!!

(By the way, in the song the lyrics are "a PONY named Wildfire")
"It'd be nice to see Jesse Henderson break one here."

'Wildfire' ranks right up there with this '70s favorite:

I think I tasted my lunch again once the music started on that. You are evil.

My prediction. Someone will decide to try fireworks again (Steve-O and June weren't here for the last fiasco), they catch the endzone on fire again, thus spooking Peruna who starts kicking and bucking. Peruna then kicks Gluestick breaking its knee and forcing it to be immediately euthanized. Officer Morales of the SMU Police does the honors with his 44 magnum not knowing what a .44 will do to a horse's head. Little children will be crying, mothers will be running from the stadium with their children and Stallion and jt will be seen laughing with that I told you so look. At that point Navy calls in one of those huge choppers to lift what's left of Gluestick off the field and in doing so it drips blood on someone's designer dress. The grounds crew then comes in with the hoses to hose down the blood off the field and then we win because Navy slips and slides all day in their option offense.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Bam. Write a script out of that and go make yourself some money. Who wouldn't want to see that?

It would be right up there with those 80's disaster flicks.

Get Randy Quaid circa Major League II to play Stallion and I can't stop laughing at "mothers will be running from the stadium with their children and Stallion and jt will be seen laughing with that I told you so look."

I've lost track of what's in jest and what isn't. Is Michael Martin Murphey scheduled to play "Wildfire" at halftime?
The donkey's name is Kiki.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

Yes. At halftime of the Navy game, the team that, upon their last visit to Ford Stadium, played upon a burnt field.

The brilliance of our athletic department never ceases to amaze me.

Maybe we can get "Tanaka" from the same movie to get a bag of marbles and shake them in front of Jones, Orsini and Turner. "They've got no marbles!"
