After seeing the vote totals, I can't help but think that Acorn is involved.

"Jones' time in Hawaii was not without controversy. He set new precedents as head coach, and some faulted him for discarding long-standing traditions.[18] After his first season, he made several changes to the identity of the football team, including changing the name of the football team from “Rainbow Warriors” to simply “Warriors"

so June Jones changed the UH mascot and amazingly seems he'll do it here as well. It's a travesty.

By the way. I may be wrong. But isn't the Haka that Jones implemented actually a traditional Maori dance and not a Hawaiin one? I lived in New Zealand for a while and I seem to remember it being common place before the rugby games. Hawaii is like 10,000 miles from NZ...

I have to say though, this warrior is pretty sweet and I would like it more than a rainbow warrior (whatever that may be)

Boy bubbapony that really just ruined everything for Hawaii didn't it?...LOL...Hawaii football and fan support really went downhill after June made a few minor changes didn't it? ..LOL...In fact the fans in Hawaii just hated Coach Jones during his tenure there right?...lol...yeah thats why the Hawaii fans, the Hawaii donors, the Hawaii governor, and the school were practically begging him to stay when he left for SMU!

I went to the TCU game on the party bus. The old guys did not like the new horse. At the game, I met some recent alumni and ex football players. They liked the idea of running behind a full size horse. However, they stopped short when I said "THE HORSE HAS NO BALLS, YOU WOULD BE RUNNING BEHIND A HORSE WITH NO BALLS" My stat prof would have been ashamed of me at push polling the results so I leave them unpublished.
