I'm so glad I'm a USC grad.

Satirical?....NOT!

Humorous?...NOT!

Do they teach Journalism at SMU?

I'm happy my daughter is at SMU and even happier that her career path excludes this kind of alleged journalism skills!

Unfortunately for the "students" depicted in this "piece of (... well you get the idea)", they had better get a clue of what the real world is like, and not count on mommy and daddy forever, or they may be hoping for a weekly paycheck from their TCU graduated employer!

Highland Park "chic" would be a laughing stock here in socal!

GROW UP and represent SMU appropriately!

The END of HB "Geldings" Dad RANT!

Agreed - this sums up perfectly where I was coming from in my initial post.

Not everyone that is affiliated with SMU is a pretentious jerk, but the school has that reputation as a result of garbage like this that others latch onto and point at when we have overdose deaths, controversies, etc. The Daily Campus should be ashamed for even printing this article, and the student should be even more embarrassed for writing it.

I heard that the Journalism Dept's goal is to be a Top 50 student newspaper.

Married a Ft. Worth girl.

It allows me to expand my "business" interests into Tarrant County (and squeeze out a few frogs.

This is nothing new. SMU has always been and probably always will have the reputation of being an "elitist" type of school. I admit when I came to SMU from a small East Texas town I was a taken aback by some things but you know what, after a while you realize you can't judge people by money, clothes, etc. and that works both ways. I found that a very large percentage of SMU students were kids who came from working class families who wanted to give their kids a real shot at a world class education. There are rich kids at every school in America.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Speaking in regards to the upcoming game vs Navy....

Lol. Dont know how that comes off as elitist or being a bad fan? I live 4 hours from Dallas. I have many other hobbies this time of year. Hunting, last few weeks to fish out in the gulf for several months, and this weekend I am going surfing. So why would I go watch us get beat again...? Like I said. I would rather go watch us maybe win for once.

And dont know if you have seen me post this before. But I have not been to a game where we beat a D-1 school in about a decade. And I am only 24... Usually I am hunting all fall. And only make it to the TCU games, Houston and Big 12 games. So there is my problem. This is why I only want to go to "winnable" games! And fyi. The one TCU game I did miss is the only one we won. And I know that is ironic since that is my name...
