Army 16 Vandy 13 Final

Postby Stallion » Sat Oct 10, 2009 1:35 pm

just when it looked like Army's bowl bid was disappearing-Army has shot at big upset. 10-10. Again we are following Army because if they become bowl eligible it takes away one of CUSA's 6 bowl berths.

WoW! Vandy running back has ball stripped at 1 as RB is headed to end zone. Ball rolls out of endzone. Touchback. Army needs FG to win.

42 yard FG hits upright again and falls thru again. Army wins

Army has 3 wins and still has puff-cakes Temple, VMI and NTSU on schedule

If anyone is watching the RIce game now what is up with the reporter with the heavy Irish accent?

We don't need to worry about anyone but ourselves. Congratulations to the Black Knights on the Hudson!

not a bad philosophy but just count on winning 7 to get to a bowl if Army is bowl eligible. Not impossible with 6 but I'd think there would be 5 teams with 7 in CUSA. Still independent bowl bids could arise for CUSA but not worth calculating this early.

I know you are kidding but David Feharty ( CBS Golf announcer) is a real big supporter of the US Armed Forces and has been over to Iraq several times and fell in love with all of our guys oversea's. He probably volunteered to do that game but the golf season is winding down too. I went hunting with him this spring and he is a fun guy to hang with and has some good Iraq tales. He isn't as funny as he used to be because he doesn't touch alcohol anymore.....
