Interesting Fran Fraschilla tweet - possible commitment

Post by Eye In the Sky »

Saw this last night. Still not exactly sure what he means. Did Doh get a commitment??

Saw good JUCO Tourney in Dallas. Tons of assistants and some head coaches like @MattDohertySMU. He has committed excellent PG from Belarus

I just meant that the staff is active, and I expect good news on several fronts, in the not too distant future.
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

It would be huge for Doh to land a true PG. While all of our guards had "positive" assist to turnover ratios, nobody was even close to 2:1

I want our PG to run the show while handing out close to 3 assists for every TO. A point with those kind of numbers will make everyone on this team better

ya think? there are probably less than 10 4+ assist per game players in the entire NCAA that have a ration of 2.5 or better. 2 to 1 ratio is very good. 2.5 and up for a pg that plays significant miniutes is obscene. pg's like that don't grow on trees.

I didn't realize that better than 2:1 had become so rare. I guess I'm too close to the ACC over here and watched a FR PG (Young) hand out almost 3:1 for Clemson against ACC defenses. I also watched a Texas kid at Citadel (Urbanis?) hand out 2:1 and didn't the guy at TCU (Ebie?) hand out close to 2:1? I just want a PG to take care of the ball in tight games and dish out assists for his teammates. I sure miss the days of Butch Moore and even Billy Allen. Looks like what we have now are all "combo" guards, which may work out OK if we have a strong 3-4 guys in the rotation.

why would you let that out, when you know the staff was trying to hide it? I know you're not Doh people, but come on. There are several of us around here who have been sitting on it for a very long time, out of respect to the staffs process

I'm not sure what the back asswards reason was, but I do know they didn't want this public.
I guess they are ok with it now.

I just saw it on Rivals under 2011.
Look for him in 2010.

jucojunction a rivals affiliate, just did a piece on Collin County and this past weekends tourney. They created the Patsevich profile and listed him as an '11 verbal. If that's where Prof X got his info, I apologize.
