Congrats Ponies!Critical win for the rest of the season. Nice effort by defense and special teams (14 points)...the offense needs to get going. Look forward to seeing some of you at the Rice game.

Re: Congrats Ponies! Thanks ReedFrawg. It has been a long time since we can post solid wins over folks that should be better than us (ECU, UAB). Now if we can just get into TCU's league...
Re: Congrats Ponies! Thanks Reedfrawg. Now have our hands full with Navy.

Re: Congrats Ponies!
![]() Phxfan, appreciate your support, but please proof read your posts before you hit submit. What are you trying to say. SMU is not involved in killing Mustangs in any way or form and for those of us who do not want a mustang with a rider for our mascot are in no way saying that saving the mustangs is not an important effort. To the best of my knowledge Spaniards did not train mustangs. The horses that they brought over from Spain with them and then were left behind by them became wild and those wild horses were then named "mustangs". SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
