Not to mention that the cartridges in the urinals are like $50 a pop. That why everyone runs plumbing behind the walls to waterless urinals anyway. After 3 years when all the LEED credit stuff is finalized, everyone rips them out and puts in regular urinals.

They have 1 pint flush urinals now that work very well.

I don't think this is a cost thing - it's a "green" thing. I don't like it either.

The urinal I used was definitely green!

Has anyone in an official capacity besides June Jones, in particular with the bowl in Hawaii, actually made the statement that SMU would be offered a bid if they won six games? Is it for sure or just wishful thinking on our part? Was part of this hype for an SMU-Hawaii matchup? What if Hawaii doesn't win six games to qualify? Without the home team in the bowl would they be fearful of a small crowd and be tempted to offer bids to two schools with much larger following for road games? Especially after seeiing the poor turnout for our home and away games. Maybe if we start seeing more red and blue at the games on the road and filling Ford it would help. After all, money is the big motivator and tv calls the shots for these bowl games and their ratings.

There have been many mentions in the Hawaii media about how SMU would be offered a spot in the Hawaii Bowl if they won 6 games. Here is an example:

http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/artic ... 00388.html

With no Notre Dame on the horizon, the Hawai'i Bowl has opted for a one-year deal with C-USA. It is hoping, if not praying, June Jones can deliver SMU. Jones, who inherited a UH team that went 0-12 in 1998 and produced an NCAA-record turnaround to 9-4 in 1999, is being asked to do the same with the Mustangs, who were 1-11 in his debut season.

This time the magic number is six: the number of victories that will get SMU bowl eligible and deliver it to a game that has the second or "mutually agreed upon" pick of C-USA teams. At this point that looks to be the best of imaginable scenarios, since, say, Southern Mississippi and most of the other C-USA teams would spark much less interest.

So the Hawaii bowl feels that even without the University of Hawaii in the bowl, that there are still 34-40K on the island that would buy a ticket just to see June Jones on the sideline? SMU doesn't even bring 5K to a road game 30 miles away from campus....how many SMU fans would realistically make a trip to Hawaii - at Christmas?
