Unfortunately they are not living as God intended, they were dumped here by the Spaniards and left to fend for themselves.

Obama should round them all up for processing and ship the meat to China and France. It would probably put a big boost in the economy.

I pointed out in another thread that the Department of the Interior was moving 67,000 mustangs and burros off of designated Government land where they were being kept. It was determined that they needed to move them to a smaller tract of land in order that they could be maintained for less cost. The other option was to shoot several of them in order to defray cost. This was our goverment offering to kill them.

I'm guessing that was probably in jest.

Of course it is in jest. If it wasn't, he would have used Xenu instead of God.

Well I am not going to belabor this issue because of the intense feelings on both sides. I will only say as a final note, that this is something that should not be the subject of jest. In my humble personal opinion, the non-profits that are trying to protect and preserve these SMU team namesakes do so with pure motives. Our government's attitude toward these magnificent animals, which are a part of our national heritage, is driven primarily by vested interests and is shameful. Now to more tequila and the game at hand.

Ding. Ding. Ding. We have a winner.

You may claim your prize by presenting me your ticket stub from the next BCS National Championship game that SMU plays next time you see me on the 'vard. Offer expires 10/31/09.

For the record, I do not advocate the consumption of horse meat by any nationality.
