http://forums.hornfans.com/php/wwwthrea ... o=0&fpart=Friend has son who was recruited by OU, I've mentioned him previously. It wasn't crystal clear, but when I talked to Dad the other day, it seems as though OU has backed off somewhat, which is good for the kid IMO.
Very good student, musically talented, has serious ambitions. Wants to be Doc. OL, 6'6", 260, lean, three year starter at a small 3A school, northeast of DFW.
Dad said the other day calls have increased from schools such as UNT, New Mexico something, not sure, Montana State, SMU.
Funny, Dad said Montana state has been calling at the same time every week, very interested.
Dad interested in best education, would like kid to stay close to home. Sounds like Dad will veto Montana State, others I dont' think he cares.

FWIW...SMU has an excellent Pre-Med program...very high acceptance percentage of SMU grads at the next level of med school.Garret wrote:Just thought I'd pass this along.

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
