on last play-Tulsa got Charles Clay wide open(same kid that busted the big last minute play against SMU in Phil's last season). Kinne scrambling for his life had to throw against his body and missed Clay. Everybody there-thought Clay might have scored-in any event Tulsa would have been deep in Boise territory with :30 seconds left. Lou Holtz called this game exactly right in first Q. Boise QB has all day to pass and step up in the pocket while Tulsa' offensive line was dominated and had to scramble all day. On two straight plays where Kinne had time he threw two passes for 93 yards for Tulsa's last TD.

Thoughts from the game:

1. DJ is the real deal
2. Kinne is elusive
3. TU's line sucks

We have Margus Hunt. When we play Tulsa I hope we turn him loose.

To me it looks as though both teams are beatable and that Boise has no business being #5. Top 15 certainly, but not top 5. They haven't played anybody of true substance, and let's face it, Oregon doesn't really count, at least not the way they played against Boise. I'm afraid that they may end up playing a one loss Florida or Alabama team in BCS bowl and finding out that they aren't the same team that beat OU a few years ago.

Boise might be as good as abvertised, but I've watched them three times and have been less than impressed, to say the least.
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.

Potential is nothing, performance is everything.

there have been a lot of GREAT GREAT teams that have barely survived tough road games. SMU took Texas Tech's best shot from a mediocre Texas Tech team in 1981. I agree they aren't Top 5 but I think they could beat some of these alleged Top 10 teams on neutral field or home and home. great teams find ways to win on the road.

What I loved in watching game was Graham going crazy on sidelines about the facemask call on the 2nd to last Boise drive. If you read his lips he said "we are getting screwed by these WAC officials, then he said it was the WAC official on the Boise sideline, then he screamed at the line judge on his side about it being bull**** and the refs were against them." Then when they showed the replay clearly his guy (#93) grabbed the RBs facemask on the refs got the call right.

Then of course the 5 yd. sideline call on the next series when Graham really went crazy. Guess who made that call ? The line judge on his side who he kept [deleted] about the facemask call to.

Pony in SA, I think they said it was mixed officiating crew from the Big 12 and somebody else.

Also, this sideline 5-yard sideline penalty has to be addressed. It should only be applied if someone on the sideline is interfering with a play in that area.

I think it is more of a reaction by the ref running down the sideline if he runs into somebody he reacts and flags it.

That is what made it funny to me. Graham said clearly it was "the WAC guy on their side" and going nuts when one it may not have been a WAC official, and two the replay clearly showed it was a face mask. Graham was wrong, but he just seemed to be a whiner all night from when I turned the game on.

Hope General is getting some R and R.
