On this - we agree.
An atheist is a guy who watches a Notre Dame-SMU football game and doesn't care who wins. -- Dwight D. Eisenhower

Are you unable to find the other board? Please...I have to assume you have that much intelligence.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Just letting PP and webmaster know that a post had Peruna in it and needed to be moved to the Siberia Board.

I'm sure they appreciate your concern and desire to help, but I think they can probably figure these things out by themselves. Have a nice night.

Most of what is passed as fact (such as what we tell the incoming students at Mustang Corrall) is pure fabrication. Did you know that the Ford Mustang was initially named after the North American P-51, but Ford thought the car was going to be a a hit with woman, and focus groups showed they did not identify with the plane, but with the wild horse?
After long period in the wilderness that SMU Football has endured, if June Jones wants this Mustang, then I imagine he has a legitimate reason for it. The complaining that so many of you do is tedious. If a previously underappreciated Mustang legend such as Jerry LeVias is fully on board with Coach Jones, then so am I.
Why would Ford name a car after a plane that was routinely referred to as "The Cadillac of the Sky?" I don't believe the plane was the primary motivation.
The P51 Mustang was powered by a Rolls Royce merlin engine. I do not think Ford would name a car after it.

Well, yes, but why is that being brought up?
Because he's a sheep who knows that he's got a big bag of nothin' and he wants to find any and everything he can to justify his position.

Diamond Girl, I read the article pretty carefully. In two sections it clearly states that the first Peruna was a pony (a small horse), not a Shetland Pony, donated from a race track--in other words a horse...I guess that will muck up the discussion. Is Peruna a pony, a Shetland pony, or a Mustang? What is the tradition?
