Any Buzz?Seems like the team had good mojo and buzz after the ECU win, but not hearing much radio/tv wise. I know the pre-game stuff will bring a few out, but are we looking at another sub-20K crowd Saturday? Anyone talked to the ticket office? It's gonna be another coolish, but, hopefully, dry evening - a perfect night of football. Go Ponies - PIERCE THE NAVALS!
Re: Any Buzz?i have heard good things... remember the team is playing for the Frank Gansz trophy, a little extra motivation

Re: Any Buzz?Glad the weather is going to be good — I'm heading up Friday morning.
GO MUSTANGS!
Re: Any Buzz?
You remember that small little crowd that ECU brought? Navy will bring a crowd 5 times that size.
Re: Any Buzz? There ought to be around 20K at the game Sat. It will be a really fun atmosphere.
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: Any Buzz? Most SMU/Navy games have drawn in the 25,000+ range-don't know why this one should be different.

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: Any Buzz? One of the papers that cover Navy had an article out early this week that said they expected about 5k Navy fans Saturday. Seems like there is buzz on the SMU side as well. Some of my usually non-interested alumni friends are coming in for the game this Saturday...
Re: Any Buzz?I hope a big crowd shows up. 1. To support SMU and 2. support the Navy kids who will be protecting this country in the coming years, God Bless them.
PONY UP!!!! GO MUSTANGS!
Re: Any Buzz?I remember the Navy game my freshman year in 2002. My God what a disaster that proved to be an omen of things to come. You really think we'll have 25K at the game? I guess its hard to imagine that after the 13.5K that were there for the ECU game. Glad the middies will be bringing a bunch of fans to Ford.
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: Any Buzz?SMU is now offering a $10 ticket to anyone who shows their TX/OU ticket stub as well as free admission to anyone with a military ID. Not a bad plan to get these folks to the stadium...I'm just not sure if this info was shared with the public (assuming most of the general public doesn't check smumustangs.com on a regular basis).
Re: Any Buzz?
TX/OU folks will probably be too drunk to show up, but there is probably enough people in the area with military ID's to overflow the stadium...if they all knew about it. SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
