She comes down from Yellow Mountain
On a dark, flat land she rides
On a pony she named Wildfire
With a whirlwind by her side
On a cold Nebraska night

Oh, they say she died one winter
When there came a killing frost
And the pony she named Wildfire
Busted down its stall
In a blizzard he was lost

She ran calling Wildfire [x3]
By the dark of the moon I planted
But there came an early snow
There's been a hoot-owl howling by my window now
For six nights in a row
She's coming for me, I know
And on Wildfire we're both gonna go

We'll be riding Wildfire [x3]

On Wildfire we're gonna ride
Gonna leave sodbustin' behind
Get these hard times right on out of our minds
Riding Wildfire

I don't think they are bringing in MMM to sing "In the Navy."

I guessed I missed that part. He's really going to come here and sing this at halftime?

If that isn't embarrassing enough... What a powerdrain that is. That is going to be so uncomfortable and then to see the Navy people look at us with quizzical looks on their faces.

Well, I hope Turner and Orsini know the words and sing out loud and sing out strong.

BTW, isn't the theme to that song that the horse died because it got lost in the cold or was it the girl because she couldn't find it?

You guys have parents who forgot to show up at your birthday parties or something? What miserable lives you must lead. Just enjoy and turn off the Eeyore for a little bit.

Interesting that the song refers to a pony and doesn't have the words mustang in it.

GO PONIES!!!

That is one of the locations in the book "Yellow River" by I.P. Freeley.

I hope you have a front row seat to this extravaganza tomorrow. Let's see what you say afterwards.

I called Moe's asking for the author of that fine novel but he was nowhere to be found.
