offense held the ball for almost 12-1/2 minutes; that's a big stat playing against navy. let's just keep them on a long field and be a little more consistent on offense. We've got them so spread out on defense that it is almost too easy to run the ball. I expect them to make adjustments that will open up some passing lanes on the outside

Michael Murphy and the Cosmic Cowboys were a big deal in Austin in the 70s.He is from Oak Cliff I think

Were his big hits. Then he recorded "Wildfire" and I think it was the number 1 song in the country for quite a while. What connection he has to SMU I have no idea.
