As the General would say, "How are those new Mustangs working out for you?" Certainly didn't help us tonight.
Seriously, this will be bad emotional loss for the guys and probably get really blown out by Houston next week. Houston loss may be our worst of the year points wise. They hopefully they will get back on track.

Back from the game... If the "Big Horse" people want those two ridden nags (geldings) running out on the field, the need a shrink....

Was there a big protest? Lots of T-Shirts / stickers? People walk out? From the posts, sounded like there was going to be a big showing.

No protests or boos.

Actually I am going to post on that later...No need to...SMU hushed it up at halftime..I don't think most fans realized that those two nags/geldings that were being ridden were actually the "substitutes" Peruna....

I think we'll give Houston a tough time next week.

I saw a lot of "Peruna is my mascot" stickers and a few signs around, but no booing or protesting.
I couldn't hear the announcements well from near the Peruna grave at halftime, but it seemed to me they didn't even reference the horses at halftime.

yeah, a mighty turnout of about 4 strong at Peruna's grave. I agree with jt...the whole thing was much about nothing. Thanks for the horses, Maddy got to smile, took pictures with everyone, we're good.

Totally agree and the mustangs looked good and the presentation was made and they went away and Peruna looked good and powerful and respectful of them, but could probably still kick their asses........

I thought the half-time ceremony was great, I am in 104. Very few people left their seats during half-time until the ceremony was over and most around me stood and clapped. The new Mustangs are beautiful horses and are a welcome addition to the SMU family.

Why not get a statute of a horse and pull it around the stadium-that's about how "exciting" those saddled cowboy ridden horses are.

Weird to comment on what they talked about if you could not hear. They referenced them quite a bit, including playing clips from the press conference on the big screen.

I thoroughly enjoyed the show. I found my self yelling go ponies on occasion during the game. When the lead dogs walked onto the field in front of the Mustangs I looked over at the women sitting in my seat and said, hey those are a little smaller than I expected.
