Offense remains THE problem !!6 games into season and offense still only scores 28 points and still completing less than 60 %. Not seeing that much improvement. Jones is lucky defense has played so well. Thought this was supposed to be a high powered offense.
Re: Offense remains THE problem !!It is.......wrong guy running it.
Re: Offense remains THE problem !!
and just think some of those scored tonight was scored by the defense. You can tell by the play calling tonight that JJ is losing faith in his "choosen one".
Re: Offense remains THE problem !!yeah, that and we gave up 31 points in the 2nd half.
Re: Offense remains THE problem !!I agree offense is the problem right now but next week we transition into a new phase. SMU has played one Division 1AA team and 5 basic running teams. I'd give SMU defense a very solid B and even higher grades for improvement. But now we see how SMU defends in space against teams that predominately throw the ball-and throw it well. New challenge ahead.

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: Offense remains THE problem !!Bo has to lead the team and move the chains, converting only 2 of 11 third down opportunities will not win games, but at least the game was close and winnable to the very end. As the team improves and believes in themselves, they will start winning the close games-that is what JJ is saying about changing the culture of SMU football to believe they can win.
