The reason is because they show you the game through the jumbotron. You are seeing what is on the big screen and it never has been controlled real well. It is much worse with basketball where it is programmed through the giant scoreboard. You miss half of the game watching replays while action is ongoing. I wish they would get someone form the film department to actually run a camera from upstairs and get some class credit for doing so.

I like the way they had the Michael Murphy song on two separate sound systems. By doing that, they made sure it was impossible to see him lip sync.

PLEASE stop playing Journey, Van Halen, AC/DC, etc. on the PA system between plays AND during a play!

Please stop playing any piped in music between plays. Maybe on a timeout, but I would still prefer the bands from both schools over the the piped in music.

Game presentation is great. Music between plays is something you better get used to. I have no problem with it.

Also, good job by our staff when Sanders became the program's all-time receptions leader, they immediately announced it. Perfect.

And why did we let a bunch of Aggies bring a toy gun and pop it off? Are the Aggies so tired of losing tat thy now come to our game in hopes of firing their little gun?

Hopefully that was a 1-time thing since it was 'Honor the Military' night during yesterday's game.

For the most part, I thought the presentation was very good as well. Pre-game and halftime were nicely done, and nothing comes to mind that seemed to be out of whack. Even the sideline reporter pulled the mic down so she didn't yell right in to it.

Now, to nit pick.

Can we please quit playing music when there is an injured player on the field?

Kiss cam needs to go.

Seemed to be some confusion on a couple of replays on the jumbotron. While the replay was showing, and advertisement was also on the screen. Saw it happen a couple of times.

Brought a friend who attended Texas, and he laughed when the mini-Mustang cheerleaders came out. I think it is a nice gesture, just that having them on the field serves no purpose.

The house announcer made a few mistakes, but not as many as normal. On a kickoff, he announced Chris Butler and Bryan McCann were back, but McCann was on the sideline. Another time I thought I heard him say there was a penalty on Emmanuel Sanders, when in reality he had just picked up a first down.

But overall, it was a lot better than normal.

I, for one, am not a fan of "Mustangs Dance Party" between all plays. I seriously doubt that Top 25 teams play hard bass strip club type music during any part of thier game presentation. Guess what...Top 25 teams let thier bands play between plays.

It sounds like they just put a song on and let that one song play until it's over. The "I like to move it, move it" song when the other team has the ball, has got to stop.

BTW, did anyone see the new horses drop a massive deuce on the side line while exiting. The handlers scooped up the big chunks, but there were skid marks there throughout the second half. I felt bad for the guys that got tackled into that shhhhhhhtuff.

Is it me or does the announcer sometimes sound like an old Speak and Spell?

Agreed on stopping the Kiss Cam.

i feel like I am at a wardrobe change of a Globetrotters game.

Get the SMU band to play more during the game and get some student involvement.

The Marketing 101 classes could help in this area.

Was the band not famous for its constant playing? I recall a time when the band seemed to play constantly. Mithrandir should be ashamed as the guardian of tradition.

Overall presentation was improved, but that chick on the sideline making announcements is so minor league baseball.

The need to reduce the amount of recorded music and let the band play more. I would play the "My City" song on each kick-off, when we did that a few years ago with that other rap song, it would get the players hyped and the fans would follow suit.
