Not good, especially with our starting center hurting. As I mentioned before, I think this has the chance to be our worst performance of the year. I also can see them scoring some extra TDs at the end of the game to really stretch the score out.

If we get down alot the coaches should see big picture and play some of the backups in the second half and start game planning for Tulsa. It would be nice to get our backup QB some snaps also.

I think the difference will be our run offense and short game.

Short game? You talking golf? My short game needs a lot of work. I have a hard time thinking we can pull one out and a little worried we get blown away. However, I do think we have a chance next week - a better chance than I thought before the season started.

Depends on who the backup qb is. If he puts in Braden Smith to get some snaps in a blowout, fine. If he puts in Padron to just get some snaps in a blowout , not fine.

You are correct. Don't burn the redshirt.

General, I pray you are correct but dont' think our offense itself has scored over 30 points all year. Only way we get to 55 is the defense scores a couple of TDs and we run a couple back. I want the win as much as you, but I really believe this will be the one we just don't have it.

Just don't undersell our chances. TCU was the best team we will have faced all season. Houston's credentials speak for themselves and rightly favored by the margin they are over us.

It may be that wacky cough syrup talking but I wouldn't be a bit surprised if we walked down there and walked out of there with a victory. Houston is greatly talented but undisciplined and they hurt themselves. Houston is not nearly as physical as TCU, and that's why our style can hang in there with them.

The talent level in CUSA is pretty close to each other with the exception of a player here or there and play here or there.

Why can't we win down there? No one thought we could do it there in 2005. The offense just has to take what the UH defense gives. If the Cougars play similar to Navy (rush 3, drop 8) then we dink and dunk them, bring the linebackers in and then get the 1 on 1s we have. Just don't force it.

McNeal should get in space. Houston is obviously faster than Navy and will pursue faster than Navy did. But McNeal also didn't originally go to Miami because we was terrible.

I just don't think this will go as poorly as many fear. As I said yesterday, I think we can split Houston/Tulsa.

Tee it up and let's go!

Hopefully JJ will have a few suprises this week. I am still waiting for us to trash 'cougar high' as revenge for the run-up in score they did to us when we returned from DP. That s.o.b. Pardee may no longer be there but I still want to hurt them bad!!

GO PONIES!!!

I think this is going to be a rough one. I'll be very happy if we can go down there and give a good account of ourselves, but Houston has one hell of an offense and we haven't put together a full game all season.

If the UH defense plays like they did against UTEP, we have a chance. If they play like they did against OSU, we have less of a chance. With McNeal, we at least have a better chance in the red zone because we do have a run option this year, so defenses have to play us honestly. On the other hand, Bo is not the most accurate passer in the world which could lead to some red zone break downs. If you go position by position, I think we might get the nod at wide-out, running back and defensive backs. They get the nod at QB and line men on both sides of the ball. In my view the line wins games and when passing offenses meet the better QB wins. So while I view this game as winnable, meaning they if we play a near perfect game and they make at least 4 turnovers, we can win. But if they have few turnovers, we lose this one.

Dave Campbells Texas Football has us winning on a late FG. I like our chances better this year than I did last year going into that game, a game we should have won. We will find a way. The turnaround is happening now!
