Breakdown Videos From SMU/Navy

Postby Stallion » Wed Oct 21, 2009 9:58 am

pretty interesting site-he breaks down what worked and what didn't work by comparing video. I wished he'd have broken down the defensive plays more. BTW apparently, Dobbs played most of that game with a knee injury and hasn't practiced yet this week.

The "BirdDog" might be the best football blogger out there. He really understands the Navy / Paul Johnson offense, and he has frequently broken down Georgia Tech film to study how the option-based spread is working (really working!) at the next level. Go to this link, you will not be disappointed.

Many thanks for providing that website. Take a look at the Navy offensive line. They are a thing of beauty, IMO. All in a three point stance with a lot of weight forward. Not lined up like a flight of geese but lined up in a straight line. And do they come off the ball. The battle is fought on the defensive side of the ball. Reminds of the good old days with the split tee.
