What's worth more value - GED or Cougar High Degree?

This is a very fair discussion point. And if the UH people don't like it, then tough.

1. At least our dance team doesn't look like street walkers.
2. We don't have lard a$$e$ in long dusters running out of gas as they running down the field with their flags.
3. We don't have our band play some ridiculous train noise on kickoffs -- embarrassing.
4. Cougar High is sitting in that dump known as Houston.
5. And when we leave Houston, we know you still have to live there (with all apologies to our SMU greater Houston alums -- but at least you had your sentence commuted for 4 years when you were here.)

Plus we have THREE horses, one of the our mascot. And two riders, not in dusters...well, okay we're still cooler than them.

I went to law school at UH. I enjoyed my time in law school there, during that tiny window when it was ranked higher than SMU, plus it was sooooo much cheaper than SMU law school. And the beer flowed. But we were pretty isolated from the rest of the campus. I knew maybe five people that were law students that had been UH undergrads, and every single one of them had lived at home.

There really is little good to say about the place. It is in a terrible part of town and is largely a commuter school. When we studied at the law school late at night, we would not let women walk in the parking lot alone. I really can't understand how anyone can go to that school as an undergrad and recall their time fondly. It really had a junior-college feel the few times I had to walk through campus; once because I lost my student ID and every other occasion to pay a parking tickets, which I had to do in order to get a transcript.

One is a secound string QB for the Eagles, and there is another who is a starting WR for the Rams. Thats better that SMU currently has right now.

I know you all could care less, but UH is emerging quickly as a university. All this smack about comparing our school to a high school, community college, etc. I understand. It's because we are a commuter school and a lot of the alumni are just people who went there for a degree and couldn't care less about giving back and supporting the school. Things are changing however, slowly. My fiance and I both graduated from UH in '08 and we are doing very well for ourselves thanks to the great education we received at the school. Sorry for rambling on, but I am very proud of my school and degree and it upsets me to see people talk down on it like you all constantly do.
