I am going to log off and not touch this place this week. There is going to be a lot of BS on this board this week. the game got away from us. Sucks, but it did. Pack 'em up and play better next week. Aside from the QB injury and Margus sack and a half, about what I expected. We would have liked to have this game, but we did not need it. We still have goals and we can still acheive them.

If I remember right, he had a very very bad knee injury before his senior year began. I had doubts he'd ever be a D-1 QB after that but apparently with injuries to Sheffield and Potts he's getting his chance

He was one of the top 2-3 QBs heading into his senior year and that knee injury was pretty devastating news for his high school team that had designs on the state title that year

Stallion, I agree. Without the drop passes and crazy turnovers, it would be an interesting game. But that is football.

I still feel good about the direction of the program. Defense seems vastly improved. I see a little more size and speed, just need to catch the ball and not turn it over. Padron seems like a gamer so far. Smith is a better runner then I thought. McNeal is the best back around here in awhile
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

You know TCU is closing this thing down 38-7 in Provo to a team OU lost to in Dallas before 70,000 OU fans. I realize Bradford was hurt but I don't think TCU's QB made that big a difference. I just think TCU could stop many top 10 teams with their defense. I think without question they would win Big 10

This is why Jones and staff motivates the way they do. It may have driven people nuts that Jones wasn't screaming that we were going to win the conference championship this year, but these are young, impressionable, mentally fragile kids. They know what we have on this team. This is not the best team in C-USA...yet.
