ES has being working extra hard after practice catching passes. He will do better I believe.

And half of his production came in a run first offense. imagine what his numbers would look like if he played 4 years in JJ offense. how about we focus on guys not pulling their own weight, instead of putting down the best player at SMU post DP?!

he opened himself up to the criticism by being suspended last year, taunting an FCS opponent this year, and his key miscues this year....I can give him a pass on some of the miscues, perhaps he is trying too hard to make something happen when they occur, but I cannot forgive an NFL caliber player taunting an SFA player on the way to the endzone, that is not, as you say, 'flashy", that is trashy and classless. Couple that with his suspension gives me pause.

ES has not done that since the SFA game. Also, a flag was not thrown so it must not have been anything major. In fact, Coach Jones said that he really did not notice it. I think we are making to much of that and hanging on to it to long (possibly because some did not like him anyway). But he is working to hang on the the all better. Actually all the wr's need to work on hanging on to the ball better. And I am saying this not being in the ES fan club.

I was a big fan till that and it was pretty blatant, I was there and saw it. Hopefully he did learn from it, and you are right, it has not happened again...of course he has scored very few TDs since then...so I will stick with the "Karma is a [deleted]" theme, he acted like he was the [deleted] and has had a rough go of it since then, with several key blunders...

Bagice, I just hope they start hanging on to the ball. The drops are becoming contagious.

really him holding the ball out for half a second really bothered you that much? its not like we were 52-0 and he was rubbing it in. he had a great return. i think you are being a little dramatic about him "taunting" an SFA player... and do you know why he was suspended last year? pause...

This statement has to be explained please. Is he catching too many passes? Scoring too many TDs? Setting too many records? Should he give up #2 in the nation in punt returns and drop himself to #3 or #4? Please tell me how he is bring selfish. He is the top player on the team. He will most likely be drafted into the NFL. Again, how is he being selfish?

because he held out the ball for .5 seconds on a great punt return

because he said some other guys need to step up to help free him up a little bit? (which they DO!)

because he was suspended last year for three games, who wasn't suspended last year?! (still finished with 958 yards tied for #38 in country, and 9 tds tied for #27 in the country, with an average of 100+ yards/game and 1 TD/game)

Sanders has a confident swagger, which Jones actively tries to promote in his players. The taunting is overblown.

Better to have minor taunting than players who don't believe in their ability.

He is greatness for SMU no question......but he has to FINISH what he started here at SMU and has to be a Senior leader to set the pace for those who come after him ( DJ!)...you have to admit weather he is trying harder or not he has lost some kind of focus lately ...dropped passes, even if they may have been difficult they are passes that a player of his caliber can make, and fumbles and punts taken when they may have been better called fair catch..he still has to make good decisons and make the plays a senior makes...he will be the best, but finish strong!

Nice youtube highlights there ExPony18....you are right, I have seen much worse taunting...I still have several problems..first of all, a senior "leader" of the team should not be pulling Mickey Mouse crap like that in the first place, secondly..this was against SFA and he wasn't even touched, yet he's going into the endzone like he is Devon Hester.

Maybe I was a bit critical at the time, I just don't like to see our players acting like that at all, especially against an inferior opponent. I just hope he can put this bad game behind him and step up here down the stretch...
