Delisha Wills knee injury

Postby George S. Patton » Thu Oct 29, 2009 8:45 pm

I understand it could keep her out thru non-confence play if not longer. Guess Severin and others will soak up the minutes. Boy, we did not need this. Have to have that power forward scoring presence.

Anyone know more?

How did our low post from Kansas do this summer. I'm blanling on her name.

D had an MRI today, but I dont know the results. Hope to hear tomorrow.

Christine Eliott looked very good in the scrimmage wednesday night, she has lost little weight, and it seems to have really helped her mobility. She should have a good year. Alice Severin and Haley Day are the 2 who will have to pick up alot of the slack while Delisha is out. Freshman post Sarah Shelton was pretty impressive in the scrimmage, as well, she was probably the best rebounder on the court, and she came alive offensively in the third session. The coaches wanted to redshirt Sarah this year, but if Delisha is out they may not be able to do that.

I've heard Elliott is stronger and leaner and faster than last year. Doesn't make up for the loss of Delisha, if her injury is serious, but I expect a monster season from Elliott.

Bad news...Torn ACL. She will redhirt this year, according to Rhonda's twitter.
