BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

He wasn't ready for the WSU game so he wouldn't have won that one, but he has really improved his leadership skills the past 3-4 weeks at practice I understand, and his arm strength has improved drastically since school started from the hundreds of passes he has thrown...going to be an interesting week for certain on the campus

You can ruin a QB by throwing him in too early, especially a QB that didn't play much in high school.

JJ and Dan Morrison did a great job in preparing Padron to play, and the reports indicated that they felt Padron learned the offense well enough by a couple of weeks ago and had been seriously getting him ready to play.

So, I doubt that the WSU game would have ended up any different with Padron. Even if it did, SMU will probably win *more* games this season by being patient with Padron than if they had rushed him in and ruined him.

We would have won the WSU game had we just taken the QB out and direct snapped to a running back after we were up 2 scores with less than 10 minutes left.

This is a total BS thread. Padron wasn't ready earlier in the season.

Would we have beaten WSU? Maybe (would Padron have thrown for 424 yards to have us in a position to win the game?) But we also would have lost to UAB, and maybe SFA, because he wasn't ready.

Cheer for Padron — he was sensational — but get off Bo's back.

Well done, Kyle. Hell of a starting debut.

I agree. There is nothing wrong with congratulating Padron for a great job without bad mouthing a kid that did not even play today.

I don't really think anyone is bad mouthing BLM. It just a simple question really. The reality of it is that it doesn't really matter because he didn't play in those games.

I don't know, but this is a 10/25/80 moment. I've waited for this one for 25 years. Good thing I had to go to a function and lost tract of the game after the 1st Q. When I listen it seems to be bad luck, I knew when I left they would find a way to win. I have been very high on Padron since following his few games in high school. Now if Oregon can find a way to beat USC the day will be perfect.

You guys must be kidding me.

Where were you all in the beginning of the season, calling BLM to be replaced by Padron.

BLM played all last year.

Why didn't anybody call for Padron to start this year!

Give me a freakin break! 8) 8) 8)

LOTS of people called for him to start earlier this year, and he wouldn't have been ready. Kudos to Coach Jones and Coach Morrison for waiting until he had a better grasp of the offense and his role in it.

It's an impossible question, actually.

We would have won the Wazzu game if our offense had been better tacklers.
