Padron has "football common sense"

Postby MiracleOnMockingbird » Sat Oct 31, 2009 6:18 pm

I'm sure Mitchell is a bright kid, but it does seem like Padron is more instinctive when the ball is in play at this stage of their careers. The throwaway at the end of the game against East Carolina still troubles me.

Then before that we had Willis whose football common sense evaporated every time he scrambled.

It's been a while since we've seen a QB have such a heady game!

The play where he scrambled, took off running, step back at the line of scrimmage to draw the defender and then tossed it to McNeal is all that needs to be said.

I agree 100%.

his mobility and ability to make plays on the run just about handed SMU 14 points. Now all he has to do is do it every week.

Let's just hope JJ is wise enough to keep him in there and BLM on the Bench.

Padron does seem to have that QB poise about him.

He really uses the whole pocket and has a better feel for the rush...once he starts picking up blitzs and defenses he could be deadly...
