Ponyte actually I believe this was more of a team win. Offense should have scored early but fumbled on the 10 yard line. No one can downplay what our true freshman QB did (not saying you are). Padron was 20-30 354 yards ad 2 TD. And he hit some critical passes, especially on 3rd down.

It is hard at this time and this game to make comparisons. BLM didn't have the D step up and over power an opponent like the D did today.

Agreed that the defense has hit a new level but I just see things out of Padron that I have yet and probably never will see out of BLM - the pocket awareness, the mobility, the size. He also took really good care of the ball. If he can take care of the ball that well on a consistent basis, I'll take him over BLM any day. The reason why BLM got hurt is because he doesnt have the awareness of the pressure around him to get rid of the ball or run with it like Padron has. In all, I just think he is much better suited to play the part of "quarterback of a top 25 team" than BLM.
Larry Brown? We have Larry Brown? Cool!

We should be greatful that we can look to Padron and BLM to start at QB. We have depth. It only takes one injury. Hawaii was starting their 3rd and 4th string QB just the past week.

The D is great. The OL is better and the receivers are doing better. That should be expected in the second half of the season.

We all know that the Defense developes faster than the Offense. Duhhhhh...... Especiallly in the beginning of the season. Please correct me if I am wrong.

We have an offense that needs time to develop. The QB needs to make the readys and progressions in real game experience. He needs and experienced OL to give him at least 4 seconds to make those reads. He needs receivers with experience to make those reads to run the correct routes.

The Offense needs the QB, OL, and receivers to be in sinc to make just one catch. It has been close. Closer than most think.

You have a soph QB making reads with first and second year recivers and OL. Timing and making the correct reads by both the QB and receivers with enough by the OL is not easy.

They did it in the Tulsa game but on the first game against wsu and navy.

Give me a freakin break!!!!

We are where we are because ya'll deserves it and the players and coaches EARNED it!!!

So support your team and all the team. Beginning to end. 8) 8) 8)

I agree with Kent_Dorfman...Padron is the man. Should start next week vs. Rice. Go KP!

I am not saying which QB should lead this team. I am just impressed by the defense in this last game. We needed somebody or some part of our game to step up and the D did just that. Now would we have won or lost with another QB I can't answer. But our D did step up and was the key to this win.

After the defense I have to give kudos to the OL. The TU announcers kept talking about all the new blitzes they were throwing at our line and how the OL kept picking them up. That makes for more opportunity for the receivers to get open.

yes sir. I liken Padrons performance today to what I saw in paul mccoy last year. Maturity beyond their years and good skills. I guess JJ recruited both of em!

The D has played well for the most part all year. In fact, the defense has been key in every win. My concerns for the D are being proven wrong.

After today, seeing this kid play in Tulsa, homecoming and his 1st start. I would be very surprised to see BLM start. It is now Padrons position to lose. He just got a lot more experience. Just my 2 cents.

I'm happy...period. Don't really have a preference toward BLM or Padron.
I like having at least two (and I hope Braden makes three) QBs who can push each other.

I think BLM has two significant issues: he's short, relative to the offensive and defensive lines; and he knows just enough to be dangerous in this offense (taking a post that someone...can't recall who and can't find it...made good points about his grasp of the offense).

Particularly, he's checking and re-checking his options, and he should not push it. JJ dumbed down the O for both him and significantly for Padron. Funny, when dumbed down, it works better.

Methinks the reason for that has been BLMs learning curve.

I like them both. Let them work it out...it'll be good for both of them...and good for the team.
