SMU-Texas scrimmage

Heard the women's team scrimmaged Texas over the weekend, and did really well. UT is preseason No. 12 in one poll, and we had a chance at a three-pointer with a few seconds to go to win it â€” missed it, but we were right there with a nationally ranked team. I was told Gilliam, Elliott and Severin were particularly impressive.

We hung in there with a top-20 team without Delisha Wills? That's extremely encouraging.

Christine Elliott is going to tear apart a lot of C-USA teams this season.

There is an intra-squad scrimmage in Moody friday evening at 5:30, open to the public.

Exhibition game vs. Abilene Christian Mon Nov. 9th, at 7, also in Moody, and open.
