We will wave our flags of victory and all will fear our might! Further entertainment can be found in kabuki performances for those of all ages, or even the company of women.

We'll let Memphis bring the tiger and UAB bring the Dragon if that's okay with you!
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

I liked how they kept the geldings right up next to the ramp where most people in the stadium couldn't see them as well as giving the geldings a quick escape route if Peruna made a "wrong" turn.

I was surprised to see that Peruna never charged them. Many many people on here had stated that if there was another horse on the field at the same time as Peruna then Peruna would attack. Did it happen and I missed it or were all the people who said that just hoping it would happen?

The handlers were very cautious to not lead Peruna anywhere near the geldings. When Peruna led the team onto the field the handlers turned him toward the east stands not 20 yards past the endzone.

Whenever SMU was going south Peruna was standing in the south end, the same end where the horses were.

And did you notice how one of the handlers was positioned to be in the line of sight between Peruna and the geldings at all times?

It was good planning - they did the only thing that would have worked.

Absolutely no one on here was saying "If the handler does not stay in between Peruna and the horses it will be a fight", but many were saying that if the horses and Peruna were on the field at the same time Peruna would go after them. All I am saying is that they were on the field at the same time and there was not a fight, if that was the result of good planning by SMU then maybe some of the people who predicted a fight might want to admit they were just making a guess/wish.

Horses have a very strong sense of smell. Perhaps the handlers doused themselves in cologne to make sure Peruna could not smell the other horses either?

You are arguing just to argue.

I said that they would not let Peruna catch a glimpse of them.

I am not sure about the smell, but I would guess that geldings do not give off a strong hormonal scent.

Did anyone see how agitated Peruna was? Even if he catches a whiff of another animal, he stomps around. The handlers have gotten awful bruises from him just doing that. Just because he didn't attack the horses doesn't mean he wasn't affected by their presence.

That was very evident in the way that they handled Peruna when he was running up the field in their direction. When they got about 20 yards or so from the endzone, they made sure to steer him away from that part of the field. Even then, he was very well aware of their presence.
